View Full Version : WF TWF Paladin (A build by request)

Would love for ya to make me a WF pally. Multiclass is fine. I would like to dual wield khopesh's and have decent dps. Ranged ability is a +. A definate must is decent saves. Have fun :)

Items I have:
Any +5 stat
+6 cha
+6 str
No tomes
+4 resist
+4 prot
Chaosguarde


Sig, I'm helping out again.

Well, this one is pretty easy, as I already have a Drow capped dual-khopesh Pally. The levels are a little different (10 Pally for mine), but I thought 30 point resists are more important than Power Attack. If they are not to you, then trade 1 level of Pally for 1 level of Fighter and take Pwr Atk or take one of the TWF feats as your fighter bonus feat and pick up Toughness and the enhancements (you can alos pick up Fighter Str I, which I had planned on originally, that's why the Str was left odd).


Okay, I now you didn't ask for it, but I gave him Evasion, as I love my Evasion Pally. You don't have any Rogue skills though, make sure you let parties know that, as some will think you're a "Batman". The only skill you really have, is UMD and it is very respectable. You also have a few ranks in Balance, as that is more than enough with GH and a decent Balance item.



I normally don't like using +5 weapons to figure out the To-hit and Damage, but I am not sure what you have Khopesh-wise, so I just went with +5. This does end up with some very good scores.

I would suggest farming/begging/buying/stealing a Bloodstone, as it helps confirm crits, and adds 18 points of damage to all crits.
Also, use your Haste Boost for extra damage, and it stacks with Haste. Try to stay Hasted and Divine Favored, as it definitely helps with the DPS.

Inscribed Armor I drops your Arcane Spell Failure by 5%, (From 15% to 10). With even a low level Arcane Sigil Docent dropping it anther 5%, you will be able to fire Arcane spells with negligible chance for failure. If you want no chance available for ASF to waste a resource, or opportunity, a better A.S. Docent, or investment in Mithril fluidity/& or further Inscribed Armor enhancements may help.

ASF seems to result from ARMOR, not SHIELD, you may still find you have ASF resulting from shield use, even if you've somehow arranged for reduction greater than your armor's ASF rating.

My guess would be he is reducing ASF for the sake of casting scrolls via UMD but I'm not certain.

Sigs right, it helps with the arcane scrolls, also I needed a 1 point enhancement to pick up the next thing at some point in the process.

Okay, the 2 above comments do bring up mistakes I made, so I added 1 point to AC and subtracted 4 from to-hits. Still leaves good to-hits.

This build was posted in 2007. You might want to find something a little more recent...

Oh, and UMD is the most powerful skill in the game by far.
