The three center wheels have to match the pictures on the opposite sides of their corresponding columns. In order to spin a center wheel the two closer outer wheels have to be set to the picture above the center wheel.

Honestly this puzzle room has always baffled me... hoping on the community to help write this description.

This whole map can be considered a puzzle. Currently it is known, that one must break the altars to flop to and from fire side inorder to traverse the map and complete the objectives.

A Good walkthrough of this quest is here (http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=1470276&postcount=209). Props to Lost Leader who's work has really made mine obsolete :)

This quest's puzzle is so simple that no explantion need be given. As one of the initial quests in the game, it is a tutorial on how to flip puzzle tiles. This quest does have to be mentioned for the sake of completeness.

There is a tile puzzle on the floor in this quest. The objective is to direct power from one side of room to it's opposite. There are four boxes around the puzzle as well. If power is directed to the boxes spiders will spawn. This puzzle is relatively simple, no screenshots or diagrams have been found.

This quest has a unique puzzle, consisting of multi-colored skulls that you must turn in order to play a common mathmatical game called "Mastermind". Many different solutions and techniques exist. From simply playing the game as it is originally designed to using solution tables to using a solution calculator.

A simulation / trainer of the of the puzzle was originally discussed here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=153125) and has been posted here (http://globalsoftware-inc.com/harncw/Reaver%20Trainer%20DDO/Reaver%20Trainer%20DDO.html). This is a good method to learn to learn the puzzle.

A thread discussing the math behind the puzzle is available here (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=107020).

Solution tables designed to be printed out or used in excel are here (http://globalsoftware-inc.com/harncw/Stormreaver%20Puzzle.CSV).

Finally a calculator is available here (http://www.globalsoftware-inc.com/harncw/StormReaverPuzzleSolver.html) and here (http://www.inthecore.com/ddo/solver.htm).

Here (http://forums.ddo.com/showpost.php?p=1609878&postcount=1)is a new version of the solver that does the puzzles for Shroud as well.

I hope most players know how to do this puzzle, but just in case, here is the solution for it.

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m71/Dworkin_of_Amber/VON4Puzzle.jpg

This puzzle is quite simple. The Rune Wheels 1, 2, and 3 need to all be set to the Upside-Down "U" (or Elephant) Rune. They are each locked in position, and have a symbol above each, that the 2 outside wheels must be set to, in order to unlock the inside rune wheel to move.

Wheel 1 (H) - This wheel requires Wheels A & B to be set to the "H" Rune in order to turn Wheel 1 to the "U" rune.

Wheel 2 (J) - This wheel requires Wheels A & C to be set to the upside down "J" (or Fish-Hook) Rune, in order to turn Wheel 2 to the "U" Rune.

Wheel 3 (Y) - This wheel requires Wheels B & C to be set to the upside down "Y" (or Fireball) Rune, in order to turn Wheel 3 to the "U" Rune.

Once Wheels 1, 2, & 3 are all set to the "U" Rune, the inside gates open, and you can grab the Gold Key to continue.

WARNING!!!! - Before you go into this puzzle, make sure that someone has talked to the Face back at the initial intersection after the double-gates, or you will fail the quest.

WARNING!!! - There is a shrine behind a hidden door directly behind (and before) you go into this puzzle. If you want to shrine before the run-and-jump section (a.k.a. the "Super Mario Section"), make sure someone stays on the other side of the gate, before this puzzle, so that you can shrine before continuing. There is no way to raise the gate into this puzzle once you are on the puzzle-side of the gate.

Anyone figured out the method for solving the Rainbow in the Dark 6 wheel puzzle? (ok, it's technically 7, but the center just arms/activates the other wheels).

I've heard people mention about the scorpion statues and if they are mirror of each other, etc.

I've also heard about doing two triangles (picture a clock) 12, 4, 8, 6, 2, 10

Anyone figured this out yet or where the key is hidden in the quest?

Thanks,
...Graz

Another common method for the 3X3 and 5X5 that works well wtihout a solver is the following.

Columns labeled a-e

I will label top row lowercase and bottom row uppercase

Step 1
Turn on all lights other then bottom row. Easily done by clicking below any light that off till only last row left then count how many on last row is off.

If you doing a 3X3 and only one light off then proceed to step 2
If you doing a 3X3 and 1-2 lights are off then proceed to step 2
else skip step 2 and proceed to step 3.

Step 2
If A first light off then hit b on top row then repeat step 1
if B first light off then hit a on top row then repeat step 1
if C first light off then hit d on top row then repeat step 1

result will be the number of lights off will go up by 1

Step 3

Use following tables

How to read table Example

a-BC means if you hit a on top row then repeat step 1 BC will be hit. meaning if BC are what still off on bottom row after hitting a on top and repeating step 1 they both be on therefore puzzle complete if they was only ones left. (the point of step 2 is to get it in a state that matches something in the table)

3X3 table

a-BC
b-ABC
c-AB

5X5 table

a-BCE
b-ABC
c-ABDE
d-CDE
e-ACD

Table not that hard to memorize but if not they easily fit on a note card so for those that it difficult switching between a solver and game this method might be a better option.

4X4 table I thing should be done after just doing step 1 every time. I did every combination of having all lights on other then bottom row in that program and they all had no solution so bringing lights down should always result in it being solve even throe for some reason I remember having problem once in the quest with a 4x4 but might of just been lack of sleep on my part.

I properly did not explain it that great so if someone that does understand can explain it better please do but once you understand the method is fairly simple to use.

Slightly simpler path to same objective... Set ALL outter wheels to "H", adjust inner "H" to "inverted U", move all outter wheels 2 spaces, adjust corresponding inner wheel, move outter wheels 2 more spaces, adjust corresponding inner wheel again, done.

This quest has four wheel puzzles, the solution can be figured by comparing the two grids on either side of the room. Last known solution was to run each wheel 3 times except for yellow which was 5 times. (note yellow should be the wheel in the south west corner if memory serves correct.)

There is an in-quest key for this puzzle as well. In the room prior to the puzzle wheels there are two panels, one on each side of the room. One side has 4 tiles lit up - blue, green, red, and yellow. On the other side of the room is a similar panel with the "runic" tiles on the wheels. The correct runes are in the same places as the lit up colored spots on the other panel. (for example, if the green spot on one side was in the 3rd row, 2nd column, then on the other side in row 3, column 2 would be the tile for the green wheel.)

That said, the 3-3-3-5 turn method is obviously faster. ^_^

I realize the solution has already been posted for this one, but since no one seems to understand how the puzzle tells us what the solution is, I figured I'd mention it. With the information others have given, this is totally unnecessary to actually solve the puzzle, but sometimes I like to know *why* the solution is what it is. To those who have my kind of curiosity, I post this explanation.

The outer wheels are red, green, and blue. These are the primary colours of source light (not the primary colours of refracted light, or paint, which we are more familiar with - red, blue, and yellow). The inner wheels are the colours you will get if you combine source light that is the colour of the nearest two outer wheels. There are two solution tiles in each of the secondary colours. One for the two outer wheels (one way to give the solution to two wheels is to show the colour they combine to), the other is the actual solution to solve the puzzle with the inner wheels.

In order to be able to unlock the inner wheels (secondary colours) so that you can turn them, the wheels of the two primary colours that make it (the nearest two outer wheels) have to match the unlock rune, then you can spin the inner wheel to it's solution.

If they had used the primary colours of refracted light, or paint, instead, the outer wheels would be red, blue, and yellow, and the inner wheels would be purple (between red and blue), green (between blue and yellow), and orange (between yellow and red). The solution tiles would be in the purple, green, and orange.

I hope this makes sense to you, and is at least of interest to *someone*.
