This is posted in the Weapon Effect thread, but I thought it deserved it's own post to be found more easily.

Easiest thing to do is use the Find feature under your browser's edit menu and search for the mob/type/effect you're curious about.

If anything is missing, wrong, etc, please let me know so I can update it. Thanks!

"Evil outsider bane" weapons - do they work on both the chaotic and lawful type outsiders?

As long as they are evil, yes. So, evil outsider bane will work on both Rakshasas and Fire Reavers. Note that there are some chaotic (djinn) and lawfull (marut, I think) outsiders who are not evil.

What about the Guardian of Shan-To-Kor?

I've heard to use acid and I've heard force/blunt.

Is he a giant or a construct?

He's a construct. Adamantine weapons and mm basically will kill him.

Maximized, empowered Niac's Cold Ray works too :D

searing light, scorching ray, melf's, mm, and firewall are my preferred methods of killing the stk giant.

Good start to a list. I have this on my DDO creature spreadsheet - a googledocs document which is sortable. You can also edit the spreadsheet.

The link is in my sig! :)

So if I am rolling a 1 Level Ranger what's the best Favoured Enemy to pick? (1 Ranger/15 Cleric)

I'm thinking Evil Outsiders as all of the Outsiders are Evil? (Does that seem right?)

If you're only going to have 1 ranger level, evil outsiders is a fine choice (not all outsiders are evil, but a lot of them are). Might also want to consider Undead or Constructs, as there are undead at all levels of the game, and neither can (normally) be sneak attacked or critted. With Evil Outsiders, you wouldn't see any until the mid levels (mephits are outsiders, but not evil).

Early Game: Undead
Middle Game: Giants
End Game: Evil Outsiders

is this still accurate? will an anarchic burst weapon affect anything with a 'lawful' prefix?

Matuse

Except for the parts that were never accurate (clay golems need adamantine AND blunt, for example), yes.

On normal difficulty I believe it's typically 5/- for Large ones, 10/- for Greater and Elder ones. Depending on the quest and difficulty it can go up to 10/- and 15/-. And there are probably some named ones with different values. In any case, you cannot bypass it with any kind of weapon :(

Thanks, that explains why no matter what I used it always came up yellow.

I'm used to Beholders being Lawful Evil Outsiders, but have noticed they're just 'Aberrations' when examined, and wonder as to why they're affiliated with Xoriat (Chaotic stuff)...
