So after thinking about things and how replies to ranger issues tend to be on the lower end of the spectrum I stopped on over at the LotrO forums to take a look at how Turbine did hunters and ranged combat.

Well hunters over there get tracking, a class ability for rangers, and from the sound of things ranged combat seems to be on par with melee. The second part will take some more investigating but its kinda sad if it is true. Tracking in LotrO exists as red dots on the map screen letting you know where mobs of various types are.

My question is how many rangers want tracking implemented in DDO in the same way? If thats the case it shouldn't be to difficult to port the skill over from LotrO and to the Rangers of Ebberon. More to come on ranged combat later.
