Very Nice wiglin, My post is mostly just to lay down the frame for the build, im glad to see that people are taking it and adapting it into their own versions. Currently my Theurge is at level 4, and she keeps up with the healing and the crowd control just fine. The only problem I have encountered is that to maximaize the effectivness of your Dmark, you have to leave your metamagic feats active almost all the time. This causes a major drain when casting damage spells, so what I do is I use wands for most of my damage needs, thenbust out the maximized spells for tougher enemies, leaving me plenty of mana to heal and do cc.

I thought about that. I figured I would play more CC then damage, and reserve the damage for tough fights. This will help conserve sp through out the quest.

I think I am leaning a little more towards this version. It loses the whole mystic thuerge element, but I think it will be a little more effective with umd. With all this healing ability it would a shame not to be able to reliably use raise dead scrolls.

Nice variant. The bard level is an interesting twist, but you really dont lose the whole theurge thing, seeing as you have the dragonmark healing. The whole reason I put a level of cleric in mine was so I could use every wand in the game and have a few DV's to toss.

The rez scroll thing is a good idea I must say, Ill have to try and figure ut a way to work some rezzing into my final build.

Actually, now that i looked over your build again, i really do like the bard level more. With UMD you could use every wand, and you really dont need the armor proficiency of a cleric, and the DV's are really just a novelty...

the biggest thing I would change is the stats, then again I dont have 32 point builds yet, but i would leave str at 6, and focus more into int, cha, and con. but thats just me...

also im wondering if the UMD would be worth losing the sp from a cleric level and magical training...

btw, how did you get the 22 UMD? with bard at first level you could get 4 ranks, but then it would be cross-class so you could only get another 6.5 from wizard levels, +5 for your cha = 15.5....or is there something im missing here?

If I did not have a bank of tomes laying around or 32-point builds unlocked I would go with these stats.

Str---6
Dex--10
Con--14
Int---18
Wis---8
Cha--14

Carry weight will not be fun in the beginning being a halfling, but I think these stats will get you where you want to be. Int for spell dc and sp's, cha 14 to reach over 30 umd, con 14 for more hp's.

By taking bard at level 1 you can put 2 points into umd during each wizard level. This will bring your umd to 17, then add in 5 from the cha modifier to reach 22.

Ah, much thanks for clearing that UMD issue up for me. It works differently here than it does in PnP.

Another take you could do on this is to make the first level rogue, making a rogue/wizzy/cleric. you would be giving up some mp, and some skills, but you would be able to do traps and such.
