I've been playing for quite some time now, and well, I've REALLY grown sick of the simple / boring animations... Piercing weapons are swung like slashers, and you do not perform the same combo every single time you swing a weapon. I'm starting to roll female characters just to have a change of things. I know I'm speaking for most of us when I say we need new animations! Also racial animations should also change! I play a halfling and end up hitting my opponents foot every time instead of their chest! Dwarves should have very sturdy animations, and elves or drow should be more precise. Humans would just, be a mix, I guess.

I would really like to see this being added somewhere around 5.2 or mod 6 - 6.1
If anyone else feels the same or disagrees, feel free to post, but this was really targeted to the Devs:)

When there's enough content to not be so bored to be bothered with character animations, I will /sign this......

Considering the art department seems to like to make little changes to things, Teach em how to do animations and fix it. I would SOOO take this over a new look for muckbane or a new looks for coins. The new weapon examine system is nice, I'd call it par though with new animations personally. And I hate the swing in a circle like I'm in a Nintendo game. The thing I love about this game is allot of the look and feel is nearly realistic. Cept for carrying limits magic and health that is. But we wear armor(Not bikinis) and our swords don't look like they way more then we do. I guess short people go there two but still, You can see what I mean right? compared to other games.

The first time I thrust with the blunt head of a dwarven axe I laughed my ass off and said out loud to the party how ******** that was and they all pretty much said yep theres some other ******** animations out there. No big deal though as someone said I'd rather see some new content prior to this minor fix.

I will give it up though the quarterstaff combo animation is freakin ninja, especially if you rock it with a haste and a fighters haste boost.

I'm getting used to it, but it does bother me when i use a battle axe or a mace and try to stab a buy with it.
