Take the "Animal" boost spells. Bull's Endurance, Bear's Strength, and so forth. Make a new spell called "Animal Essence". Animal Essence Functions much like Resist Energy does, allowing you to choose which of the different Animal Boost spells you would like to make use of much as you can choose which Resistance you would like to cast.

Create a "Mass Animal Essence" at higher levels.

Classes that are restricted in which Animal Boost they can cast are not given Animal Essence and are still restricted as such.

Except only one.. well.. two classes can cast ALL of the +4 Stat Buffs.

Going with that catch.. I don't see the point for this other than wands/scrolls which would still not work out.

To further clarify this.

Clerics/Paladins cannot cast Fox's Cunning
Ranger's cannot cast Eagle's Splendor
Bards cannot cast Bull's Strength/Bear's Endurance/Owl's Wisdom.

So. You want EXTRA spell slots (thats what this equals) for a sorcerer (who wont take them anyway) or for a wizard, who's not hurting for low level slots

Big problem here. See those spells have been with Dungeons and Dragons since well before I was born. They have always been that way. Have always had those names and have always been individual spells. I for one think that this change would be changing the history that is dnd.

And what lenric said... Its part of the core rules and I honestly do see changing it to be a needed waste of time

I like the concept but think it's overpowering and not necessary.

To be honest it's kinda sad that this game has gotten to the point that people make suggestions like this.
