View Full Version : Argonnessen's July Calling All Guilds Rehab

08-01-2007, 09:20 AM
Hey folks-

I'm deploying to Guam for the Valiant Shield Exercise this weekend and the forms are all jacked, including the July Third Quarter Calling All Guilds. To top it off, we've got Mabar joining us and all of their responses were lost as well! Seriously, I'm not happy about it because I didn't do any updates based on the Quarterly Thread (was waiting til today).

Please feel free to shout-out to the Rehab Thread. This thread will incorporate all Mabar and Argonnessen Active Guilds. I'd prefer an Officer or Guild Leader to represent with all pertinent information concerning your guild, its size (active members, not alts or inactive over past 3 months), any guild websites/vent/teamspeaks, and a small charter or "How ya doing?" blurb that I can rewrite to represent your guild's descriptor. Please see the Guildlistings Stickied at the top of Argonnessen's forums to see what other guilds have wrote in the past. Please don't respond to that thread either! *L* (Because someone always misses that request, beware, I usually make fun of your guild for 3 months IN the listings for not following instructions).

I'll close the rehab thread and update the Listings when I return back to Japan from Guam and have some free time (we're returning during an Exercise here, which is not nearly as fun as the Valiant Shield exercise, oh joys of sucking rubber gas masks you do not know!) I promise as soon as I can function without crashing the updates will be made based on responses to this Thread.

Non-Essential Reading Below:

Oh, and for those wondering, my Class 1A Flight Physical was approved at AETC/SG and I'm mailing it out Friday to Randolph so I can hook up my OTS Class Date. WOOT!!!! Butter Bars and flight suit, here I come!

Guild: Praetorians
Contacts...Alorious, kaoticcaster
size 25 active members

Praetorians is an open adult guild looking to become the largest on Argo. Leaders and officers have all been officers of some the largest guilds on the server. The guild is open to all play styles and skill levels. The primary focus is to increse its size so you never have to seek a group to do anything. For the other guilds responding to this thread, yes I am looking to absorb your guild in the near future.

Low drama, mature, allied with OSD. Fun, cooperative, gaming. Not particularly raid or end content oriented.
Best to check the website--I'm about the only one who ever mucks about in the forums.

I know the merger's got everyone all crazy-acting and drunk and not playing their best (I personally witnessed many-a-good-player turn nubs today); but please remember after the merger to kick yourself in the pants and post your guilds stats, slogans, recruiting/non-recruiting status and relevant info in the Rehab thread.

When I come back from Guam this will be the thread I use to update (and delete/add inactive/active guilds) the Guildlistings a final time before I pass the duty on to another kindred spirit.

Ordos Draconum

25+ active members

contacts: Beerthirty (leader), Stee, Maydie, Kivari, Futslung, Milolyen, Primed, Magadoc, Rekot, Ustiveh

We are a mature guild who loves to raid, loot and shoot the sh*t with each other. We also have a love of racking up xp debt and making fun of one another. We are currently not looking for new members but we ALWAYS keep our eye out for experienced mature players with a good sense of humor that is looking for a guild that plays for the guild not the individual.

We are a solid guild. While we have military members, we are not all-military or all-marine. The meaning of semper fidelis matches our style - Always Faithful. Our motto is Vires Quod Veneratio - Strength and Honor!

Prophets of Velah

40+ active members

Contacts - any PoV member they will get you in contact with our recruitment officer. Founders Cheapthrill, Cassis, and Bio

The Prophets of Velah guild is about friendships being made and learning to fulfill the main purpose of purchasing a game – to have fun and enjoy life.

The Prophets of Velah gather from all corners of Eberron, and do not hold any specific race, or adventuring style as a form of membership. Instead we are a Brotherhood who wishes to make sure all those who risk the dangers of Stormreach can do so with the best weapon possible: Knowledge!

Formed with that foundation in mind, they are a font of history, hints, and helpful individuals who know the true enjoyment of Stormreach comes not only from defeating it's many threats, but learning the best ways to do so.

With this in mind, if you are adventuring in Argobar, and need any form of help, be it in forming a group, learning your own special abilities, or how you might best approach or defeat a quest, contact one of the Prophets.

I couldn't happen but notice from the Net Cafe that I'm using to browse everything I need to do that a lot of threads about new guilds and guild-mergers are showing up on the new Argonnessen Forums.

So this is a shameless props up to let everyone know that the best way to get some recognition is through the Calling All Guilds Quarterlies. I believe my successor is planning on following the same tradition. Check out the info in the Guildlistings Thread. Please don't post in that thread! *L* This rehab thread is a replacement for what was lost in the July month (the third quarterly period) and will be used to update all guilds (or remove if not accounted for via post/pm!) in the thread.

Welcome everyone and hey to everyone that I haven't seen/posted/argued with in the last week. Another week or two and I'll be back to my post in Japan to resume all duties, including Argonnessen's Guildlistings Editor and Monitor... for one more quarter.

ELECTIONS?!! There may be in 2008 for Argonnessen's Guildlistings Monitor as well, unless the new successor decides to keep up the good fight. This is a trying position (neutrality, one step away from insanity and two steps towards pandemonium}.

Small guild, all wf casters.

Guild: Aces of Siberys
Active Membership: 30-40 (at my best estimate)
Contacts: Heffty/Paapa, Naash/Gur, Glenalth/Isindolph, or pretty much any guild member can refer you to the right people.
Recruiting Status: Not actively recruiting, but I doubt Heffty would turn down a great player who meshed well with the guild personality-wise.
Slogan: "Mer!"
Website: No public website, only private message boards.

***Relevant Info: This guild is a merge experiment between Guild of the Aces Over Kings and Knights of Siberys. Neither guild has been abolished; they are still intact. The merge is an experiment; if it works well, it will remain. If not, the two original guilds will be reinstated. If that happens, I will contact the person maintaining the Guild Listings.

Darkside is the premiere evil guild of Argo.

We expect our guild-members to have fun while being evil.

While evil is not an alignment you can actually choose for your character, we at Darkside know that there are many players out there that have dark intentions.

While we prefer Drow & Warforged all races are welcome.

Members are encouraged to write in their character's biography and use their emotes.

Members are encouraged to play as much as possible with other guildies.

Currently there are over 50 characters in the guild.

Contact Sicarii via mail in-game, or any of the other members of Darkside running around town.

Guild: Ransacked
Leader: Damoraslann
Officers: Cordelia (Wylfred), Mason, Nirvana, Tassandra, Krell, Khopie
Membership: 10-15 active players, over 100 capped toons.
Description: Small Veteran Mabar Guild made up of mostly founders and other long-time players. Tight knit and friendly, our guild enjoys good laughs and all the best gear. We preach humility, and flying under the radar.
Recruitment: If you have interest in joining, please be sure to have exceptional quest knowledge, several capped characters, and a most decidedly chaotic alignment. Also, a thick skin, a sense of humor and a certain level of modesty helps too. Although we are almost always on anonymous, find and contact an officer and nag your way into a flag run. If you play well and we all get along, we'll discuss step 2.

Hastened Harkenings, Argonnessen!

Well, it turns out I'll be finally leaving Guam today and returning to my typical posts and post in Okinawa. Please be sure to urge your fellow guilds and merger-guilds to post in this thread by the end of the weekend. I will be closing the Rehab thread and updating the Guildlistings based on your responses.

I'd once again like to extend my thanks to those that have included information, especially the very-detailed info including guild activity by numbers, guild charters that are very specific, and overall the ability to follow requested information in the proper threads. I am very sorry our original Calling All Guilds Third Quarter Thread was lost in the purge and appreciate the redundant back-filled information you've all provided.

Unless my successor has other plans, the listings will be taken over by a fellow historian and haphazardly (an unbiased selection of pure coincidence) former DoD Service Member in October. I've other projects and will be withdrawing my presence from the Forums, although Relics/Stormrune will still continue to be alive on DDO and LOTRO. It's been a lot of fun and unquestionably caused a few headaches with you all on the forums.

Also, I'd like to recommend that someone (Clank/Lessah?) please consider creating a history stickie with all DDO Video Projects linked in an appropriate Forum and maintaining that thread. I for one will probably miss out on your posts in Argonnessen's Forums and would like to be able to review what is posted every few months.

Fair Sojourns, kindred and unfettered alike.

SrA Kistilan J. Dark, USAF
Strategic Airman in Exercise Valiant Shield '07, Guam.

PS: If this thread is locked and you don't get a post in, please PM me! I am not withdrawing from Guildlisting's Maintenance until October 1, 2007. I will update you as soon as humanly possible.

Hello Ladies and Gents-

I'm back from Guam and recovering from sunlight, heatstroke and lots of Korean Juicy Encounters. KJ XPs for short. Aside from that, I'm working on the listings.

Two Things To Announce:

1. I've updated and will close this thread this weekend -- get your guilds in if you haven't chimed in yet! This is my last "official" update (you will be able to PM me, of course) before I turn the reigns over to Aargos as your new Guildlistings Moderator/Monitor/Person/Thing.

2. I'm throwing my hat in the ring for Ret Greenwood's old job in the Player to Player Guild Match-up Forums. I'll try to make some sense out of the mergers and active guilds now that we aren't having any purges this week in the current Threads. ^_^ Any objects/comments/ideas are welcome before I start this endeavor. I really appreciate the support I've been given in maintaining the Argonnessen Listings for the past year. I couldn't have done it without the excellence basis that MantisDragon and ShinmaFox created as a launchpad for future enhancements to this listing. Expect Aargos to deliver even more features and informations in the new listings to debut in the coming month!

Alrighty, so there I was, editing the guildlistings, when WHAM - I was out like a light!!! Then I woke up, it was 5 am, and I'd successfully stuck my nose between the g and h keys. It was time for bed.

PS: I've finally put A Universal Mind in thier place! /corn&puns off Oh, I hear my ancestors rolling in their graves for that one. I guess they're all of "like mind" when it comes to my humour! (Ok, I'm really stopping now. You guys have been swell!)
