View Full Version : Is this team ever going to fix the UI?

I just died again thanks to the poor implementation of the toolbars.

When I tell the UI to LOCK the things it should stay LOCKED.

I'm running from some firebrand gnolls and instead of steering my character
the fricken toolbar is floating around on my screen.

By the time I drop it and try and perform the action I originally intended, it's too late.

I feel your pain.

But, conversly, I actually really like the "feature" you just mentioned. I find it easier to position my toolbars after they are already locked (and therefore trimmed down to their smaller size).

I've never had the problem you speak of, mostly because I run in mouselook mode 99% of the time (using the T key to switch), rather than holding down the left mouse button. I'd probably be sitting here agreeing with you, however, if I played differently. I can see how it would be a pain.

I wish the would fix what ever they did back around Mod 2, when the mouse pointer started making the action keys inactive when ever the pointer hovers over a toolbar, the map, the chat window, the Identifaction window, they even stay inactive if you pull up any of the other UI items like the Character sheet, then dismiss it, you have to move the mouse to get control of the keyboard back. This gets me killed more than stupid mistakes trying to attack but only pressing keys that do absoultly nothing while a mob is trying to cave my skull in or turn me into a porcupine.
