The DDO Store is easy to use, and contains a vast selection of useful items! To start shopping, click the DDO Store button on your in-game menu, or press "Ctrl + S."
Welcome to DDO Store and its bountiful front page!
To being browsing the DDO Store, locate the left-aligned browse menu displaying item categories.
In this example, we'll buy a hireling to help us defeat some irritating kobolds. Click "hirelings" in the browse menu and choose the hireling level-range that your character fits within. (For new characters in DDO, a level 1 hireling is plenty!)
Use the "Sort by" feature to quickly organize an opened category; sorting is incredibly useful when not using the search bar in the upper-left portion of the DDO Store. Because our quest is to find a cheap hireling, let's sort by lowest cost first.
With our hirelings sorted by lowest cost, we see that there’s an inexpensive wizard hireling on page 2! Click the "Buy" button underneath Rillyn the Bold, (our wizard hireling) to proceed.
Any discount coupons you've seen on our official sites or official social network pages can be applied at this point. Several varieties of coupons will be made available over time; some will grant discounts to specific items, others to entire categories or a whole shopping cart, and some coupon codes may even discount point bundles – so keep a lookout for special deals!

Once you've reviewed your order (and added any nifty coupons) click on "Proceed to Checkout" to move onto the last purchase page.
The DDO Store will total the entire cost of a purchase and always displays this information next to the "Place Order" button, so be sure to check it before submitting your order. When satisfied, click "Place Order" to complete the transaction.
Your personal in-game receipt displays the date, individual item price, item quantity and total order price for any record-keeping you may require. Additionally, a secondary receipt is sent to the email address used in your Turbine account.
The newly-purchased hireling will be sitting safely inside your inventory! To open the inventory window, press "I" on your keyboard.
When you're ready to summon your hireling in a dungeon instance, simply double-left-click on it! Unless an item is instantly applied to your character – such as when purchasing a Stat Tome – you can always find your purchase inside your inventory window.
Armed with this knowledge, the story-rich and danger-laden world of DDO is yours for the looting!
