We’re proud to announce that a new high-capacity server world will open during the Dungeons & Dragons Online®: Eberron Unlimited™ Head Start beginning 9/1/2009. The new server is named Cannith, a name that comes from a famous Dragonmarked noble house in Eberron. House Cannith is capable of creating great magical wonders and terrible magic weapons; it was they who created the armies of warforged who fought in the Last War!

Cannith will be open exclusively to VIPs for the 1st day, and then open to all Head Start players. Cannith will be open to new characters only. There will be no character transfer service available for this new world at this time. Players participating in the Head Start will be able to begin playing new characters on Cannith prior to public release of DDO Unlimited!

The addition of this new world comes on the heels of a major hardware upgrade that significantly increased the capacity of the existing DDO worlds, in anticipation of the launch of DDO Unlimited on 9/9/2009. The launch of Cannith is the latest in our updates for the launch of DDO Unlimited, and underscores our ongoing commitment to DDO. We’ll see you in-game!

“Cannith” In Eberron lore:

House Cannith consists of humans who bear the dragonmark of Making. Many of the most skilled artificers, magewrights, and alchemists in Eberron are members of the organization. House Cannith are known for their magical inventions and creations, including the warforged. While House Cannith does not maintain a full-scale enclave in Stormreach, members of the house can be found in the city and throughout the continent of Xen’drik, searching for lost artifacts and long-forgotten technologies.
