The DDO Refer a Friend Program

Reward yourself by recruiting your friends!

The referral program site makes it easy to invite your friends. In fact, every player gets a custom referral link that can be sent to friends via e-mail, web, or social networks. We even have a Facebook App that makes it super-easy to send invites to your friends to start playing in DDO.

Once you’ve invited a pal to join you in the dungeons of Eberron, they’ll get a link to our regular signup page where they can create a game account. As long as your friend creates the account directly from the DDO Referral Program link, your accounts will be permanently connected.

From that moment forward, you will get a bonus of 10% of any points your referred friend buys!* The more friends you refer the more points you can earn, so jump in and get started at http://my.ddo.com/referral today.

Make sure to read the Terms & Conditions before using the site for the first time.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. I’m a Free Player. Can I refer people to DDO?

A. Yes! All DDO players with active accounts are eligible to refer friends to start playing the game via the DDO Referral Program.

Q. How many friends can I invite?

A. As many as you want! There’s no hard limit to the program at this time.

Q. I went to the DDO Referral Program page or tried to install the Facebook App and the system says I can’t log in. What’s wrong?

A. You need to log in with your community account information, not your game login. Don’t have a community account yet? Log into myaccount.turbine.com and set up your community account there to proceed.

Q. I don’t remember my community login. What do I do?

A. Log into myaccount.turbine.com and check your settings. Your forum/community account name should be visible there. If it is not, create one on that site and use that information to log into the DDO Referral Program page.

Q. My friends are already playing DDO. Can I get credit for their purchases?

A. While we appreciate you referring your friends to play, only new accounts created through the DDO Referral program are able to grant points.

Q. I heard about this program and talked a friend into playing DDO, but they didn’t use my referral link. Can I still get the bonus?

A. Sorry, but only accounts that have been created through the DDO Referral program are able to grant points.

Q. Where are my points going?

A. Bonus points you receive will accrue in your DDO Referral Program profile. You can cash them out into your DDO Store wallet at any time to use them in-game.

Q. Can I give points to someone else?

A. No, points are non-transferrable.

Q. My pal just bought some points. Where’s my bonus?

A. Bonus points are usually credited once per day for the previous day’s activity. If your friend buys points today you will generally see your bonus come through the following day, though it can sometimes take an additional day for credits to post.

Q. I just cashed out some points and they aren’t in my in-game Store wallet yet. What gives?

A. Point transfer from your DDO Referral Program profile to the DDO Store is quick, but not instantaneous. We note on your profile page when a transaction is pending. Your points will be available once the transaction is complete. This usually happens in just a few minutes, but can take as long as an hour or more depending on how busy the system is when you cash out.

Q. I’m seeing my friends’ real names in the transaction history. Is this right?

A. By default, when a friend signs up their name will appear in your DDO Referral profile. In general, we expect you to know the names of your friends already, and seeing that information will allow you to connect with them after they sign up. Of course, any player who is referred can also choose not to share their name with you during the signup process, and may show up as anonymous, or under an account name.

Q. I’m making a lot of points from this thing. I don’t want my friends to be jealous. Can they see my referral stats?

A. No. Your referral stats are not visible to any other players. In the future we may provide an opt-in ability to share certain information, but we have no plans to make it possible for other players to ever see your Referral profile data.

Q. My friend signed up and then went straight to VIP. Do I get a bonus?

A. There’s no bonus at this time for players who become VIPs. You will still get 10% of any points they buy in the store, but there’s no special bonus for VIP payments or points.

Q. If my friend refers a friend do I get points for that person’s purchases too?

A. No, the friend of your friend isn’t really your friend. Or your enemy. Just an acquaintance you wouldn’t mind going out to dinner with once in a while but probably don’t want to see on a daily basis because you’ve never really connected and you’ve noticed they have the tendency to make inappropriate jokes, which is just irritating.
