I am having a hard time getting some solid answers about TR ing. I know I could probibly post this in the other forums but I am looking for people that have real life TR toons that have real exp. So that hopefully I can get some solid answers. I have a bard and a wizzy I was thinking of TR ing so i am wondering if I tr'ed the bard to wizzy could i get the +1 to Ench DC? being a pure wizard and is there any benefit to being a tr wizzy in other words are there better feats i can take as a tr'ed wizzy to ad to the +1 enchant bonus? that a 28, 0r 32 pt would not get? Also would I be crazy to TR to DROW wizzy for the starting 20 int. and then hopefully get the +1 to enhanc Dc from bard past-life?
What would the benefits be to TR from wizzy to wizzy? the reason i am considering my bard is that he is lvl 19 and i dont play him much, where my wizard is lvl 15 and I really like him at the higher levels.
I Have read all the info on this from turbine and it is so confusing and unclear to say the least, I am awear of the increased ability points and so on but not sure about passive and purchased feats.
I want to get the highest DC possible thats what I am looking to do.
Wizard -> Wizard gives +2 spell pen for free, and +1 DC all spells (not just enchantments) for a feat
Bard -> Wizard gives +1 enchantment DCs for a feat
There are other benefits to both, but those are the ones related to being a better caster. It should be obvious that Wizard past life is better. Especially since enchantment spells are pretty limited at end game (immunities/ridiculous will saves).
Bard isn't going to make your Wail better. Wizard will.
If you go Drow (stats after racial bonus/penalty):
I have a question about TRing from a ranger that I'm also having trouble finding info on. I understand the past life feat:
You were a ranger in a past life. You occasionally find small animals in your backpack. Each time you acquire this feat you gain +2 damage with ranged weapons and +2 to elemental resistances. This feat can be stacked up to three times.
My question is the "Warrior Of The Wild" past life feat:
You recall more about your past life as a ranger. You have +2 to your Spot skill and can produce a Barkskin effect three times per rest. (Activate this ranger ability to toughen the skin of an ally, giving a +2 natural armor bonus to AC with an additional +1 bonus for every 3 caster levels above 3rd, to a maximum of +5 at caster level 12th.)
If I TR from a ranger to a pure fighter. I can cast barkskin on myself 3 times a rest. My question pertains to the caster level. At 12th level fighter will I be able to cast a +5 Barkskin? What if I multiclass to say a 2rogue/6barbarian/12fighter, at level 12 will I be able to cast a +5 barkskin?
Thank you for any help in answering this in advance.
casterlevel = charlvls for past life feats
You get the passive “Past Life: Ranger” feat for free when your character does a true reincarnation. Once you reach 3rd level you may select the “Warrior of the Wild” feat as a generic feat. If you have the “Warrior of the Wild” feat you will gain the ability to cast barkskin 3 times per rest. Your character level is the caster level.
