Turbine Points & Game Account Questions

Can I still receive Turbine Points from the transfer tool?

The Transfer Tool is no longer available, and you can no longer receive Turbine Points from the Transfer Tool.

What can I spend my Turbine Points on?

If you received free Turbine Points from the Transfer Tool when it was active, you can purchase anything you want from the DDO Store! The Store has everything from potions to premium features like 32 point builds or character storage. You are welcome to spend your Turbine Points on anything you like to help re-establish yourself on the global service, or purchase things just for fun like hair dyes! Enjoy your free points, and welcome to DDO Unlimited!

Is my account considered “Premium” because I received the free Turbine Points?

Your Turbine account membership status will not change as a result of receiving the free Turbine Points from the transfer tool, so if your Turbine account is a new or existing “Free” account, it will remain Free. An existing “Premium” account will remain Premium. A new or existing VIP account will remain VIP for as long as you are paying the VIP subscription.

I’m trying to add a credit card to buy Turbine Points but it doesn’t accept my credit card. What do I do?

For more information about credit card issues, please click here!

I’m trying to use PayPal to buy Turbine points, but it keeps giving me an error.

Please be sure that your PayPal account is verified.  Verification is a PayPal status that Turbine requires in order to accept your account for purchases.  Since the requirements for Verification may vary depending on your location, please contact PayPal for more information about becoming Verified.

I have more than one US subscription on my Turbine account. If I associate my Transition Key with my existing Turbine account, which subscription will get the free Turbine Points?

You are welcome to use any of your subscriptions to play DDO. Note that subscription levels can differ between each (example: upgrading a subscription to VIP will not automatically cause your other free or premium subscriptions to be VIP). Use your Turbine login information to login, and not your Codemasters information to access your records. If you are not sure, you can submit an inquiry to our account support team for clarification by clicking here.

- Click the “Support Center” tab

- Click the “submit a ticket” link and complete the form, selecting the appropriate game, team and ticket type for your request.

Character Transfer Questions

Which server will my characters transfer to?

All EU characters were transferred using the Transfer Tool to the Ghallanda server. It is no longer possible to use the Transfer Tool as of 2-14-2011.

How do I transfer my characters to an existing Turbine account?

It is no longer possible to transfer Codemasters DDO characters to your Turbine account as of 2-14-2011.

I have more than one US subscription on my Turbine account. Which one will my characters transfer to?

If you used the Transfer Tool prior to 2-14-2011 to import Codemasters characters:

- Log into your subscriptions with your Turbine login information.
- Select which subscription you’d like to access in the launcher window.
- We recommend that you check each of your subscriptions for the transferred characters. If you’re not sure, you can submit an inquiry to our account support team for clarification by clicking here!
- Click the “Support Center” tab
- Click the “submit a ticket” link and complete the form, selecting the appropriate game, team and ticket type for your request.
Please note that we are unable to assist with “missing” characters after 2-14-2011.

I had characters on the Keeper and Devourer server. Which characters will transfer?

If you used the transfer tool before 2-14-2011, all of your characters from the Keeper and Devourer servers were transferred to the Ghallanda server.

How will I know when my characters have been transferred?

If you used the transfer tool before 2-14-2011, an email was sent to the email address you provided for your Turbine account once all of your EU characters were transferred to your Turbine account by the tool.  You may log in and play any characters that transferred.

Please note: we are unable to assist with “missing” characters – all characters in the transfer tool were transferred, and requests for assistance with any missing characters have been received as of 2-14-2011.

I transferred my characters to a Turbine account, but I want to put them on a different account instead, how do I move the characters to another Turbine account?

Please note that characters cannot be transferred between Turbine accounts or subscriptions, regardless of their origin.

I received an email confirming my character transfer is complete, why don’t I see my characters when I log in?

-    Please verify that you are logging into the correct Turbine account. If you have more than one subscription, we recommend logging into each to check for the characters.
-    Please ensure that you transferred the characters to the correct Turbine account. Note that once characters have been transferred to an account, this can’t be undone!
-    Double check that you are logged into the correct game server. All EU characters transfer to the Ghallanda server.

Can I move my transferred characters or my existing US characters to/from the Ghallanda server using premium services?

For more information about our Premium Service program, visit our Premium Services website by clicking here!

What if I have more characters than I have available character slots?

Your characters are never deleted by Turbine!  The game will prompt you to select which characters you would like to occupy your available character slots. If you'd like to unlock an additional character, you must purchase a slot for it. However, when you purchase this slot you'll also be given the option to exchange the characters in any previously unlocked slots with any of your locked characters.

Your amount of available slots will vary based on the type of subscription you have (free, Premium, and VIP) as well as any character slots you may have unlocked using the DDO Store. Any characters beyond your available slots will be inaccessible until you have an available character slot. You may also delete characters to free up existing slots if you like.

What if I don’t have Drow/Favored Soul/Warforged/Monk unlocked on my Turbine account?

You must unlock access to these premium races/classes in order to play a transferred Drow/Favored Soul/Warforged/Monk. You can unlock access for Drow and Favored Soul with the Favor System, through the DDO Store, and also by coming a VIP. For more information about premium races and classes, click here for our account type comparison chart!

What if my character has the same name as another character on Ghallanda?

If your character’s name is already in use by another character, you will be able to select a new name for your character. You will know that this is the case because your character will have a number at the end of the name. For example, "Nyx" will become "Nyx-1."

To update your character's name, simply type the following text command once you login with the character, replacing "newname" with the name you want:
/changename newname

Please note that you must complete your name change within 30 days or a new name will be selected for you.

What items or account features will transfer with my character?

Only items in a character’s personal inventory, personal bank, and equipped items will transfer. Special items will transfer so long as they are in a character’s personal inventory, personal bank, or were equipped. The following items were not transferred from the Codemasters servers:

-    Auctions or unclaimed auction winnings
-    Items in a reincarnation cache
-    Mail or items attached to mail
-    Unclaimed quest end rewards
-    Items in the Buyback vendor window

Guilds, friends lists, and ignore lists will not copy over.

Note that your character’s favor amounts will transfer, but server rewards (e.g. drow, favored soul, 32 point build) do not transfer. You can unlock those favor rewards via the following methods:

-    Earning the favor with another non-transfer character on your Turbine account
-    A character who has the proper favor amount, but who has not spoken with Nyx previously
-    Purchase of the account-wide versions in the DDO Store using your free or purchased points

Please note that any special account status, such as Founder or limited edition boxes, will not transfer. Items (such as Founder’s helms) that are in your transferred character’s personal inventory, personal bank, or are equipped will remain, but newly created characters will not receive special items going forward.

I unlocked access to Drow/Favored Soul using the favor system, why won’t the game let me access my transferred Drow/Favored Soul on Ghallanda?

Remember that unlocking premium features via the favor system is on a per-server basis only. If you have not yet earned the favor on the Ghallanda server, you will need to earn the favor or unlock the access via the DDO Store (note that DDO Store purchases are across all servers).
