You can earn Turbine Points just by playing the game! This is done through a system called the “patron system” (also known as the “favor system”).

There are many factions who occupy Eberron, each struggling for power – influential lords, mysterious merchants, and even supernatural tribes of monsters! By completing quests for these factions, you’ll increase your standing with the factions and earn “favor” for fighting for their cause. As you increase in favor, you’ll earn Turbine Points! When you’ve earned Turbine Points through the favor system you’ll receive an in-game mail to notify you of your reward. There are two ways to earn Points using the favor system: character favor and server favor.

Character Favor

The more quests you complete, the more favor you earn. The more favor you earn, the more Turbine Points you’ll receive! For every 100 favor you earn, you’ll receive 25 Turbine Points. You can earn these Turbine Points for each character you play!

Server Favor

As an added reward, the server keeps track of the highest favor you’ve ever achieved with one of your characters. The higher favor you achieve on the server, the more Turbine Points you earn! These “highest completed favor” rewards are available once per server. Remember that it doesn’t add the favor from all your characters combined, it only checks for the highest among earned by one of your characters on that server.

Buying Turbine Points

You can purchase Turbine Points with real money right in the game! Simply click the “get more” button in the upper right corner of the Store.

This will take you to the Points purchase section of the Store, where you can select how many Turbine Points you’d like to buy. You can buy bundles of points great and small. Select the bundle you want, then click the “Buy” button.

If you’ve never purchased Turbine Points before, you’ll need to enter a payment method. The DDO Store accepts credit cards, debit cards that can be used as a credit card, and even Paypal!  Once you have a payment method on file, you may continue adding more Points bundles or checkout to get your Points.

When you’ve entered your payment method and are ready to pick up some Points, click the “purchase” button. You can also use the “checkout with PayPal” button. A receipt of your purchase will be sent to the email associated with your game account, and a receipt screen will display for you in the Store. Your Turbine Points balance will automatically update after you’ve made your Points purchase!
