Dungeons & Dragons Online™ (DDO) is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) taking place in Wizards of the Coasts’ Eberron setting of Dungeons & Dragons®.  DDO exists as a persistent online world populated with real and computer players that continue to function even when you turn the game off.

One benefit to playing DDO is the large player pool, which provides many options when players are looking to enjoy the game with other people. Another great benefit is the frequent updates that Turbine releases in order to expand and improve the game. However, taking advantage of this content can be difficult without a proper understanding of the game functions.

To some players, taking advantage of the massive amount of content found in DDO might seem a daunting task. And so for you, we have created this page! Here are many resources created by Turbine and its players that can aid a new user in truly understanding and utilizing all that DDO has to offer.

If you haven’t already, take a look at the DDO Game Manual, which provides a wealth of important information concerning gameplay. A copy of the manual can be found here.

We also recommend visiting the official DDO forums, which are filled with player conversations about game systems. The information touched on involves topics such as servers, races, classes, and crafting. There are also forums containing User-Written Game and Strategy Guides and Perma-death & Static Groups!

The forums may contain discussions from players on a number of topics, but the DDO Compendium is the most comprehensive set of DDO facts found on the internet. The Compendium is a wiki that contains specific data on races, classes, skills, spells, feats, quests, items, favor and more! The information in the Compendium also describes various monsters, displaying a short in-character excerpt and discussing some of the more potent ways of combating them.  Finally, take a look at the many community created guides which will help answer any questions you have.

Be sure to spend time visiting the forums and Compendium in order to learn all of the secrets that DDO has to offer!
