My first impressions of warlock

Thanks for the feedback. Skill Points are not something we're currently planning to change (for Warlock or others). We realize there are many skills that are beneficial for many characters, but we don't feel you should simply be able to get all of the skills you want. There are many options for increasing skills, such as increasing Intelligence or itemization, that allow for greater variety of build choices. DCs and saving throws are something we're trying to keep an eye on in the medium and long term, pretty much always. It's a subjective and somewhat delicate area to tinker in. Different players (and developers) sometimes have different ideas of what the goals with DCs should be, as well as different experiences in actual play. We're aware of some issues with Pact requirements and looking into it.

When did this puzzle get so complicated?

---Quote (Originally by oradafu)--- It's a rare bug that's been around since it was released. ---End Quote--- Indeed. I haven't seen a report of this in quite some time. Will need to check to see if some change we made may have caused a halo effect.

Black Tentacles very bugged

Dev Posts - Fri, 06/19/2015 - 09:17
---Quote (Originally by richieelias27)--- 1. Only does damage on the first tick, and nothing after that. 2. Does no damage on anything that was not caught inside it at the initial cast. Kite things through it all you want, they will not take damage. 3. Appears to be a reflex save and NOT a STR save. 4. Cannot be heightened. 5. Lasts less 10 seconds. Tooltip clearly states 20 seconds. 6. There is no save for the damage. Hits whether they save vs the tentacles or not. 7. Does not display the DC of the spell. 8. I suspect the DC of the spell is not boostable (much like the worthless level 2 arcane spell flaming sphere). Waterworks explorer zone kobolds were saving against it like crazy as a level 14 warlock with maxed CHA. I am disappoint. ---End Quote--- 1. Not sure about that. Internal dev build aside, I've personally run ~10 hours of Warlock on Live using Evard's heavily, and damage does seem to be proccing after the first tick. 2. That does seem to be the case. We'll look into getting that fixed for patch. 3. Reasonably certain it's not a Reflex save, but we'll double-check it. It does say "Evade" over their head when they make a save, which (for certain kinds of spells) is the text that's displayed any time any kind of Save is made, Reflex or not. We're going to look into changing that to something other than "Evade" to make it less confusing. 4. Working as intended, at the moment; it's fairly powerful in its current form. We're collecting data right now, and if it needs it, we may add it. 5. It should be 10; we'll look into why it is procedurally adding 20 to the tooltip. 6. I've been seeing regular saves all day on the damage; the damage is a Fortitude save, so many monsters who save on the Grab may not save on the Damage, and vice versa. Are you seeing both damage procs every tick on monsters who aren't held by the Grab? That would be an issue. 7. We'll look into it. It has multiple, entirely different save types (grab and damage), which seems to be confusing the system that generates them into tooltips. Not saying I don't think there could be problems with the spell, just that many of the things we've seen so far internally AND on Live doesn't match up here. It could be something a little deeper or more character-specific... I'd be interested in seeing your build and (if you can) video of that character using the spell. It'd help us a lot in figuring out if something's up. In the meantime, we'll dig into the spell and double-check some of what you mentioned here. Thanks!
