By locking down posting times and with a rigorous editing process we can eliminate these types of backtracks, and that's fine. I can adopt that Producer style and we can adopt that dev style. Players have overwhelming stated they prefer us to post more often even if it means that occasionally there will be a hiccup rather than vastly reducing our posting so each post can progress through a rigorous editing stage. To the DC post, behind the scenes Mechanic was done first, long before the Assassinate / Coup De Grace discussion, even though it was posted last to the player's council and delayed to live because we held it back on the advice of the player's council until we could do a pass on traps. The design intent was Time Bomb should be consistent with traps, but that was early in the rogue design process. As an aside, I agree with you about Time Bomb. It probably shouldn't be based on a skill. The point is you can have early and frequent posting with the understanding that players will need to be more forgiving, or have a more rigorously edited polished and official posting style. I apologize but it isn't possible for players to get both. Sev~

Rogues are completely free and more iconic and to any player. For instance, Humans are always very popular in any game. Not that Humans are especially lacking in DDO, but just because there's far more Humans than any other race in DDO doesn't mean everything Human is perfect. Some of the decisions are (sadly) also a matter of scope and what we can accomplish. The work we're doing on Rogue is smaller than the work we want to do on Artificer, which would include an entire new tree. And, of course, your feeling that Assassin is better that Artificer in Epic is hardly the entire picture. Rogue has two other trees, and epic is not what all players care about. Artificers are considered to do reasonably well in Heroic. We freely admit some artificers can use some help in Epic, and ranged Artificers should benefit from changes we expect to have in Update 25.
