Very cool! I'm wondering if the Storm Horns might set new records, though...
---Quote (Originally by shibe)--- Some friends and I are going to start playing AD&D PnP and I thought I would go with version 3.5. Does anyone know specifically what I would need to get a group going? Players and Dungeon Masters? I am sure everyone will have their opinion on which version is best but I thought that DDO was based on 3.5 so I thought we should stick with that. Thanks in advance and I apologize if this is not the correct place to ask this question. ---End Quote--- Always great to hear of folks picking up the PnP game for the first time. Good luck, and have fun!
*UPDATE 1:51 PM Eastern - The worlds have reopend! Enjoy.* The DDO Game Servers will be brought down on Thursday, August 29 from 11:30 AM - 2:30 PM Eastern (-4 GMT) for an update to the game. Thanks for your patience, and we'll see you back in the game soon! Patch notes will be available during the downtime.
---Quote (Originally by droid327)--- I thought Bludgeoning damage was supposed to prevent oozes from splitting. However, my AA is splitting oozes like crazy, even with Morphic Arrows on that adds Bludgeon damage. I know it does bludgeon AND slashing/pierce...but I figure the game should give you the benefit of the doubt, ostensibly your arrows are "morphing" to whatever damage type is most advantageous. It should be "no split if contains Bludgeon" not "no split if only contains Bludgeon". That's how DR works, after all....if there's any Bludgeon damage component, all of it breaks Skeletons DR/Bludgeon. I'm sure there's other examples where damage type is set in an "only" and not an "contains" parameter. ---End Quote--- In this case, Bludgeon damage isn't different from Fire, Electric, or Light. You're chopping oozes into smaller bits. You just happen to be dealing bludgeoning damage at the same time. In this case it even makes some logical sense: You can punch an ooze as much as you want, but that punching doesn't mean you can suddenly slice it with a cleaver and not split it.
Read by a dev! Looks like the Repair Aura in ranks 2 and 3 may only be working while both the dog and the player being repaired are outside of combat, and the tooltip doesn't reflect that.
You can find the answer to this question in our Shadowfell Conspiracy FAQ here. (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/416995-Shadowfell-Conspiracy-FAQ) Here's the relevant bit: ---Quote--- *Can I get Iconics without purchasing the expansion? Can I buy them after the Expansion launches?* You must purchase one of the Shadowfell Conspiracy expansion bundles to gain access to Iconics when the expansion launches. Iconics will also be available for purchase in the DDO Store in Update 20 - each Iconic type will cost 1295 Turbine Points. ---End Quote--- We have not yet announced a release date for Update 20. Thanks!
Good luck to everyone who enters!
---Quote (Originally by unacceptable)--- I think it is working as intended. The ad for skill tomes specifically mentions +1 to +3 The add for stat tomes says "select tomes" implying not all are on sale. ---End Quote--- This is correct. We generally don't put the newest store offers on sale right after their release. I wouldn't expect +5 stat tomes to go on sale until December of this year at the earliest.
---Quote (Originally by Rynehawk)--- Just a quick update - the issue was addressed early Monday morning. My account was credited an additional amount that would equal the individual purchase of a +4 to +5 upgrade dex tome because it didn't arrive with the others. Happy with the result; would have loved to have it before the weekend but understandable due to the timing of it all. Thanks for the quick resolution! ---End Quote--- Glad your issue was resolved.
---Quote (Originally by Zaffod)--- Please, please, please.... of you are NOT running the promotion within the DDO store, Please DO NOT have it listed in the lower left panel or the Top panel. Since this is a real store, that takes in real money, it could be False advertising and a bait-and-switch. Keep it current, keep it relevant to the current weeks sales event. ---End Quote--- Agreed. Promotion banners have been updated.

This is an issue we're hoping to fix in the next patch.

This is an issue that we hope to address in the next patch.
Thanks for the feedback! The journals are intended to be written in a way that they can be discovered out-of-order, which is why they don't (for the most part) contain a linear narrative. I'm hearing that people like the lore and voice work, but have some discovery issues with them (clicking on them, not seeing clues as to their location in the explorer journal, some visibility issues, etc.) Much appreciated!
Beguile will be changing to not work on bosses or raid bosses, and issue the correct damage benefit.
Due to fighting and insults, this thread is now closed.
The Saga NPCs are temporarily unavailable. Thanks for your patience! NOTE: Even though the NPCs are unavailable, quest completions are still being tracked for credit towards your saga completion once the NPCs are available again.
The Secret Doors in Army of Shadow are not functioning correctly. We're aware of it and working to correct the issue soon.
OP, you don't mention which quest in particular you are talking about, but we're aware that Secret Doors in Army of Shadow are not working correctly, and we hope to have that fixed soon.
