Lag is currently our highest priority. We have already made changes to the Deathwyrm raid which has increased the user experience in that raid. Although that work has provided a better experience for many players running that content, we are still seeing evidence of server performance issues on certain server processes. As previously reported, we identified an issue with certain server instances not cleaning themselves up, and we are also seeing evidence of server side CPU spikes in our CPU usage logs. We are trying to determine the cause of these spikes. During these CPU spikes players on that server process will experience lag even though other players on the same shard might not see it because they are running content on a different process. I have all engineering resources working on it. This week's patch will include diagnostic logging to help determine the issue. I know these lag spikes are annoying and I do appreciate that players have been patient as we have been working to diagnose these issues. Sev~

---Quote (Originally by Eth)--- Yes, thank you. Good to know that orbs, great axes and quarterstaffs count on their own (I guess the reason being the different animation?). ---End Quote--- Yes, it's grouped by animation style.
Hey everyone, As many of you are aware, the Northeast is preparing for a potentially historic blizzard expected to start tonight and last into Wednesday. In order to ensure the safety of our customer support agents, we will be closing down the phones early today, Monday the 26th, and they will not be available tomorrow, Tuesday the 27th. The phones were scheduled to be closed on Wednesday the 28th for a company meeting, however if the weather is as bad as expected, there is always the possibility that closures may be extended. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you need to contact Account Support, please try to call as early as you can today and we will do our best to get to your call. Even when the phones are not available, you can contact us via email by filling out a support ticket at the website in my signature below. We will do our best to get back to you in a timely manner. I hope that everyone affected by the weather stays safe and warm in the coming days! -Coldblue

Just wanted to say thanks for organizing Shroudpalooza, it's been a really cool thing in DDO-land, and I think everyone really dug it.
---Quote (Originally by Bob_of_QF)--- I wouldn't care either--- EXCEPT-- that Turbine dropped the servers to patch this ..., at the expense of the real game content. ---End Quote--- No real game content was harmed in the restarting of the servers. The folk who hit "off" and then "on" were not the people working on Temple of Elemental Evil, lag fixes, or other content and bugs today. We felt the relatively minimal work put in to restart the servers was worth the improvement to the game for those who do care about the current Festival, which of course is still important content. Each player cares about different things.
---Quote (Originally by Fuitentooty)--- Please let us know if you find out. Turbine does do quite a few fixes in updates/patches, and I don't know why they don't put it in the release notes. Some of them off the top of my head were the fix for dazing and vertigo modifiers (it used to be vertigo increased stunning DC and vice versa), that idiotic bag timer for putting stuff in, and the free use of heightening level 8 spells to level 9. There were a bunch of other undocumented fixes but I forgot what they were. I really haven't played much since the Khyber holiday lag. ---End Quote--- In our defense, we didn't exactly prioritize the Tactical DC issue. I wonder if this is related to the DC bug I just fixed with tactical DCs? We will look at it. Sev~
