The DDO Game Servers will be brought down on Thursday, December 18th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM Eastern (-5 GMT) for a hotfix. Thanks for your patience, and we'll see you back in the game soon! We will post up Release Notes tomorrow.
The Spell Wards in Deathwyrm were intentionally disabled to aid performance in the end fight. Apologies for missing that in the release notes. They may return in the future depending on performance analysis post-U24. We're still interested to hear how Deathwyrm runs are going compared to pre-U24! We understand that there are some issues with the flyby fireballs in Fire; that is a bug, and we're still working on that. We'll let you know when we have further information. Thanks!
Yes, when this fix is made we do not intend to remove the character level bonus from abilities that should get that bonus.
This is usually a pretty easy fix. Bring up your launcher and click on that downward facing arrow in the top right corner. From there go into Options, then click on the Proxy tab. Select the icon next to "No Proxy" and then click okay at the bottom. Your launcher should basically close out and reopen and then progress past the installing pre-reqs point the next time you log in!
We've now added this to the Known Issues list, but yes, Tactics DCs are erroneously adding character level to their DC. Now, some abilities are meant to do this if it's in their description, but this is happening to anything with a Tactics DC. This will be fixed in the future, so don't get used to it. :)
DDO has made it into the Quarterfinals of MMORPG.com's Great MMO Face-Off of 2014! If you are interested, we'd love your vote! *Click here to vote!* (http://www.mmorpg.com/showFeature.cfm/feature/9212/General-The-Great-MMO-FaceOff-of-2014-Quarterfinals.html) FYI: Looks like we could - finally - be headed toward a DDO vs. LOTRO final. :) Would be fun.
Pretty awesome, you've opened my eyes to a new spherical realm! :)
Do you have those ticket numbers handy? I can check the status on them and let you know where they're at.

---Quote (Originally by Erofen)--- and not always on kill. rarely gotten it on kill when tested with low level favor on my 16 barb. maybe a overlevel thing? *shrug* ---End Quote--- ---Quote (Originally by Dorian)--- The description on the in-game enhancement is wrong. It's healing for 1/2 your barb level. ---End Quote--- Yes, it's an overlevel thing; that's been added to the enhancement's description for an upcoming patch. To get the healing on kill from Blood Strength, the enemy needs to be near (or above) your level. In addition, the description and healing don't match right now for the on-kill portion; In said upcoming patch, the on-kill effect of Blood Strength will heal you for 20HP, regardless of Barbarian level; this will scale with 100% Melee Power (and, of course, Healing Amp).
We've been keeping up on the feedback, and yes, there's a LOT of it. :) We do want to give folks a little time to spend time with the system, rather than making immediate decisions based on immediate feedback, but do appreciate the immediate feedback as well. As far as posting on weekends, I do read the forums on weekends, and do post when I feel like I have a response ready. That said, real life can also get in the way, and it was a busy weekend.
Stat Tomes are the tomes that will increase your base stats (Strength, Wisdom, Dexterity, etc.) You do not - need - to buy a +1, then a +2, then a +3, etc. The highest bonus will apply, so using a +1 tome then a +3 tome doesn't get you +4, it gets you a total of +3 to the stat. Tomes have a Minimum Level to use. That said, if you consume a +6 Tome, for example, then True Reincarnate, you'll get the best-available stat bonus when you hit certain minimum levels for the bonus. So you'll get a stat bonus from consuming a +6 tome even before you get the full +6 benefit. The DDO Wiki has a nice page on Stat Tomes, which can be found here. (http://ddowiki.com/page/Ability_tome) Skill tomes do not increase your base stats like Strength, but rather increase the skill modifiers you have.
---Quote (Originally by Faltout)--- Noticed that all of the champions have the "Champion: Damage" buff and 1 or 2 more "random" buffs (or more buffs and some debuffs). Is this intended? ---End Quote--- This is working as currently intended, yes. All Champions receive some bonus hitpoints and damage. Minibosses receive a much smaller boost than normal monsters. ---Quote--- And a final point, are those buffs epic versions? I don't know an attack at level 14 (Relic of a Sovereign Past) that can deal 40 poison damage. How about you make a table with the spells and their range and pick buffs from that table according to the level and difficulty of the quest (low levels can have only low level spells, high levels can have some high level spells, and more low level spells)? Imagine a champion in korthos with epic buffs? ---End Quote--- Champion buffs are generally designed to scale according to the level of the quest or the existing statistics of the monster, such as multiplying existing damage or dealing 1d4 damage per dungeon level (as a made up example). Some statistics have scaling "built in", so they don't scale a second time with level, such as Blur, Dodge, or damage absorption. Example: It wouldn't make sense for level 1 monsters to have 1% Fire Absorption and level 20 monsters to have 20% Fire Absorption. All such damage formulas and Champion buffs in general are subject to review and change, of course. We're getting lots of good feedback from this first weekend of live gameplay.
---Quote (Originally by Shione_Ghallandra)--- Just noticed this over the past couple days. Occasionally when I run through public areas, like from the Marketplace to one of the houses, after zoning, I suddenly am moving super slow, as if the 40% ship buff has stopped working. The buff is still showing and I don't have any debuffs that would cause me to be slowed. As soon as I zone again to another zone, the buff starts working again. I noticed today that the buff that adds .25(W) does not appear to be adding it anymore? It shows on my weapon description as having an increased weapon damage, but does not change the damage on the weapon or the combat window. With this buff on, lower weapons would generally show as 1.3(1d12), paragon shows 1.8(1d12), now it just shows as (1d12), even though the buff is on my screen and it says on the weapon that it has increased weapon damage(text). ---End Quote--- Read by a dev! We've heard a few reports of select Guild buffs not applying in U24 (especially the .25w). Still needs investigation on our end, but wanted to let you know we're looking into it. ---Quote (Originally by Shione_Ghallandra)--- I'll try to watch more of the buffs and see if I can find any others not applying. ---End Quote--- If you do find any others, please let us know here or through a bug report. Thanks!
---Quote (Originally by Tesrali)--- tried ee DW again and did not wipe when we went shadowside (if anyone can confrim that the shadow fix stopped that please do!) we did wipe twice due to lag, and the bone guardian was unbearable the vanilla deathknight no longer causes intercession through goggles! Zeal (from divine crusader) causes me to lag-kill myself in raids, so am just gonna run my monkcher in ee mod =) weekends are usually bad and we were experiencing this, normal frustrations of attempting to raid on the weekend why is it that lag clears when everyone dies? I don't understand. less calculations since mob AI isn't in motion? EDIT: ....and we just got U24, I meant U24 lol you know I'm a dunce ---End Quote--- Thanks for the report! :) While it certainly wasn't a catch-all fix, it certainly sounds (from this report and several others I've heard from this weekend) like the Shadow fix is at least helping some during the end fight. We're definitely interested in hearing more performance reports from people running Deathwyrm post-U24, and we'll continue to work on tracking down other sources of similar problems.

If you're not able to use Low Blow, it sounds like you might not be meeting the requirements of the Swashbuckling stance. What weapon do you have equipped in your main hand? What kind of armor are you wearing? Is the Swasbuckling stance toggled on? Does it show an icon in your Buff bar? What kind of message do you get when Low Blow fails?
We need to consolidate the large number of threads on Monster Champions. Please feel free to continue the discussion in a new Official Thread (https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthread.php/453023-Monster-Champion-Feedback) on the topic. Thanks!
Now that Update 24 is out, and clearly there's a lot of community interest in discussing the new Monster Champion system, we thought it would be a good idea to consolidate the large number of threads on this topic into an official thread. Please run some quests, give it a bit of time, and provide us with your feedback on the Monster Champion system. We have seen a lot of feedback that appears to be tilted toward Terminal Delerium in particular. It should be noted that Terminal Delerium is an Extreme Challenge dungeon, so particularly if you are running it on Epic Elite, it may not be the best quest to singularly evaluate Monster Champions on. That said, we do appreciate all of your feedback on this topic, regardless of what quest(s) are being used to evaluate the system. Thanks!
